Jo McCann, RN, BSN, Badass Founder
Jo McCann is a Registered Nurse, veteran real estate investor and devoted recovery advocate and mentor.
Jo graduated with honors from the University of Victoria in 2005 with a BSc in Nursing and has worked in medicine, cardiology, research and management. She is also a property diva with over 18 years experience providing a welcoming home for her residents.
After becoming acutely aware of what it takes to live in recovery through experiencing her own journey in recovery, Jo combined her passion to help others, nursing skills & recovery to found Colwood Serenity House, a supported recovery home for women. Her mission is to help as many women as possible on their path to a sustainable and fulfilling life in recovery.
In addition, Jo is a passionate veggie-grower, divine cheesecake baker and mother of 3 wonderful children. She currently lives with her family in beautiful Victoria, BC.
Traci Nernberg, Bombshell Techie
Traci Nernberg is a solopreneur who supports clients in web/graphic design, online marketing, SEO, business admin & accounting.
Traci pursued her education at SAIT and obtained certification in Marketing, Graphic/Web Design and Accounting. With over 25 years experience in business, Traci has developed fundamental skills in communications and marketing and provides support to clients in areas where business and creativity combine.
Traci's journey in recovery began at the Colwood Serenity House . Her desire to share her freedom from addiction and continue in a life in recovery brought her on board to help start Soberstore. She is responsible for web/graphic design and technical support.
Traci is also a mother to 2 amazing children and enjoys all that Vancouver Island has to offer while living in Victoria BC.
Trista Zamany, BA, ACTOC, Sexy Sales Pro
Trista is our Sexy Sales Pro, utilizing previous skills and a degree in Marketing to work her magic. She is responsible for business development and social media management. With her extensive and successful history in sales, Trista has consistently outperformed, all the while building long-lasting and meaningful relationships with her diverse and discerning teammates, partners and clients.
After graduating with distinction in 2002 from VIU with a BA majoring in Marketing, Trista entered a long and distinguished career with Fairmont Hotels and Resorts. She was awarded Fairmont’s highest sales honour three years in a row; the greatest merit afforded to only the top 15 sellers in the entire int'l company. Almost 6 years ago, Trista dipped into her entrepreneurial skills and has been working with clients to source and negotiate hotel conference contracts.
Through her own journey in recovery, Trista has found solace and a deep-rooted passion for helping other women recover. Trista is certified with Addiction Care and Treatment Online Course (ACTOC) from the University of British Columbia Continuing Professional Development, Faculty of Medicine, designed in partnership with BC Centre for Substance Use and UBC School of Nursing.
Trista, well-known in her native Vancouver Island, is a dedicated mother who values both her career and family. During her free time, she enjoys running, paddle boarding, hiking, yoga and baking.
